Our Mission Statement

To develop OpenOffice.org on the Mac OS X platform.

At the moment this means porting OpenOffice.org to run natively on Mac OS X. Once OpenOffice.org Aqua final is released, the team will focus on making OpenOffice.org adhere to the Apple HCI guidelines. The Mac Port team will continue to produce regular releases of the X11 version of OpenOffice for the Mac.

How to Install OpenOffice.org 2.X (X11)

In order to run the OpenOffice.org (not Aqua) you need to have X11 installed. As this can be a difficult process, we have provided a PDF to help you with this process.

Welcome!

NeoOffice is a full-featured set of office applications (including word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, and drawing programs) for Mac OS X. Based on the OpenOffice.org office suite, NeoOffice has integrated dozens of native Mac features and can import, edit, and exchange files with other popular office programs such as Microsoft Office.

Released as free, open source software under the GNU General Public License (GPL), NeoOffice is fully functional and stable enough for everyday use. The software is actively developed, so improvements and small updates are made available on a regular basis.

It is available for free from the NeoOffice download page.

27 March 2007: NeoOffice 2.1 is released. This release is based on the OpenOffice.org 2.1 code and includes all of the new OpenOffice.org 2.1 features. NeoOffice 2.1 can be downloaded here.

29 August 2006: NeoOffice 2.0 Aqua Beta 3 is released. This release is based on the OpenOffice.org 2.0.3 code and includes all of the new OpenOffice.org 2.0.3 features.

Quality of postprocessing

MPlayer has very good postprocessing. On every image in the movie is applied a filter to reduce square areas, which comes from codec's compression algorithm.
